

Alcohol and kayaking don't mix, so please do not consume alcohol before kayaking. Please note that instruction participants may have to pass a breath test (blood alcohol level of .05 or less) before being allowed to kayak.
You need to bring:
Secure footwear such as wetsuit booties, runners or sport sandals that will stay on rough water
(no bare feet allowed)
Sun protection (water resistant sunscreen and a long sleeve shirt is recommended)
Clothes to get wet in eg. swimmers, boardshorts, t-shirt. In cooler months you will need a wetsuit* (maybe hired or bring your own), thermal underwear, a fleece top or a woollen jumper and a windproof jacket eg. a nylon raincoat. Please do not wear cotton clothing in cooler weather, as wet cotton will make you extremely cold.
